Organizing for the New School Year and a Free Printable

A new school year. We’re back at it! It doesn’t seem possible that it’s only been two weeks with students. All the planning and hard work that happened over the summer has paid off as the year unfolds.

In addition to curriculum planning, I reworked the vocabulary units we are using for the school year. All of the units that I teach are in binders. Vocabulary is one of several. I have binders for the literature text we use, reading, writing, grammar, vocabulary, and the “I can” statements that we use.

I  also reworked the vocabulary terms page that we use for each unit. The Vocabulary Template can be accessed and printed to use in your classroom.

I also created new signs for my classroom. I created them and printed them out on my printer. I purchased frames at the dollar store. I can change out the pictures when I decide that I want a change.

One of my goals this summer was to exercise more frequently. With the Hashi’s, any exercise needs to be low impact. Walking, biking, swimming, and yoga are all good. This beauty came to meet my biking needs. We’ve spent many miles together this summer.

Until next time…
